Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has announced a new charity initiative called ‘Fathers’ Endowment’ as the holy month of Ramadan approaches.
This campaign, launched on Friday, aims to honor fathers by setting up a sustainable charity fund in their name. The proceeds will be used to treat patients and provide healthcare for those who cannot afford it.
A Tribute to Fathers
Sheikh Mohammed, who is also the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, shared a message on social media, saying:
“The father is the first role model, the first support, and the first teacher. He is the source of strength, wisdom, and security in our lives, young and old.”
He encouraged all UAE residents to participate and donate to this noble cause.

Follows Last Year’s ‘Mothers’ Endowment’
This initiative follows the ‘Mothers’ Endowment’ campaign launched last year, which raised Dh1 billion to support education for underprivileged communities.
Like the previous campaign, ‘Fathers’ Endowment’ is launched under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and aligns with the spirit of giving during Ramadan.
How to Participate
Residents and businesses in the UAE are invited to contribute to this endowment and help provide healthcare to those in need.
This initiative reflects Dubai’s commitment to humanitarian work, ensuring that fathers are celebrated and remembered in a meaningful way.
